Nintendo (NTDOY) is launching a wearable addition to its Pokémon Go game on September 16.
NEW YORK (TheStreet) — Nintendo (NTDOY) is rolling out its newest Pokémon Go spin off, called Pokémon Go Plus, which is a wearable addition to the popular game.
The wearable will be released on September 16 and costs $35, according to The Verge. The device is a wrist-mounted Bluetooth sensor that vibrates when a user is near Pokémon or a Pokéstop.
Its vibrating function could improve users’ safety while playing the game, the Wall Street Journal reports. There have been several traffic accidents as a result of users keeping their eyes focused on their smartphone screens.
